Delta 8 is one of the numerous substances found in the hemp plant. Each cannabinoid has a special effect on our body. Two main cannabinoids are tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD). When people talk about THC, they usually speak about Delta 9 THC, the most abundant form found in cannabis plants. Delta 8 THC is a slightly less potent version of THC Delta 9. Although D8 and D9 have psychoactive effects, Delta 8 is less intoxicating. Chemically, the two cannabinoids are similar. Delta 8 THC is formed after Delta 9 THC has been exposed to oxygen for an extended period. For example, if you don't store cannabis properly, regular THC turns into Delta 8 THC. Unfortunately, however, it is often associated with the formation of mold. Many users in countries where it is legal prefer Delta 8 because it is less psychoactive. The side effects of THC, such as dry mouth, uncontrollable appetite, or dry eyes, are less intense. People also often prefer Delta 8 THC for its relaxing and calming effects.
